BTG International Trade — Where It All Began
BTG International Trade was founded in Istanbul, Türkiye in 2017. From day one, BTG set out to bridge the gap between international suppliers and buyers — building a reputation for reliability, speed, and deep market knowledge across multiple product categories and trade corridors.
Operating from the Meridyen Business Center in Istanbul, BTG International Trade developed expertise in global sourcing, food and agricultural commodities, wholesale distribution, and cross-border logistics. Over the years, BTG cultivated a network of trusted manufacturers, freight partners, and regulatory contacts spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.
Recognising the enormous opportunity in the Canadian and North American markets — and the need for a dedicated, locally-rooted operation — BTG International Trade established Uniport Distribution as its official Canadian branch, headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario.

Key Milestones
2017
BTG International Trade Founded
BTG International Trade is established in Istanbul, Türkiye, with a focus on cross-border sourcing, food commodities, and wholesale trade across European and Middle Eastern markets.
2018–2020
Network Expansion
BTG grows its supplier and buyer network across multiple continents, adding product categories including food and agricultural commodities, consumer goods, and industrial products. Logistics partnerships are formalised with international freight carriers.
2021
North American Strategy
BTG International Trade identifies Canada as a priority market for expansion. Planning begins for a dedicated Canadian branch to serve North American importers, distributors, and retailers with direct access to BTG's global supply network.
2022
Uniport Distribution Launched in Canada
Uniport Distribution opens its Canadian headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario — officially becoming the Canadian branch of BTG International Trade. The Mississauga location provides direct access to the Greater Toronto Area, major Canadian ports, and cross-border US trade routes.
2023
Full Service Portfolio Activated
Uniport launches its complete suite of services: Global Trade & Sourcing, International Shipping & Logistics, Food & Agricultural Products, Wholesale Distribution, Private Label & Product Development, Canadian Transportation & Distribution, and Market Development.
2024–Present
